On June 12, 2012 BBC extended a call for Pastor Summers to become the pastor. Pastor Summers was born and raised in Bowie, Texas. After accepting Christ as Savior on June 13, 1983, and accepting God's call upon his life to preach, he moved to Missouri for Bible training. He then spent 26 years in Missouri before accepting the call to pastor BBC in June 2012. Pastor Summers and his wife, Lori have 4 children: Rachael, Chad, Brad, and Haylee.
James serves with his wife Kimberly and their two children, Makinsley and Jackson. He was saved at the age of 5 and grew up in a Christian home where he graduated from a Christian Academy and then attended Bible college. They moved to Bible Baptist Church in 2015 and served as Children's Pastor for 3 years and then transitioned to Youth Pastor in 2018. In 2022, the family moved to Duncan, Oklahoma, where he pastored West Beech Baptist Church for three years until God led them back to Bible Baptist Church. They strive to make a difference in people’s lives by loving people, teaching them to have a daily walk with God, and helping them grow to spiritual maturity.
