Supporting Missionaries

Just as Christians partner with missionaries in prayer, they also share in the fruit of their labors through sacrificial, financial giving. It is a source of great joy to know that our gifts enable missionaries to stand in our stead, preaching the Gospel, and winning precious souls to Christ. The financial cost of taking the Gospel to foreign lands is a formidable barrier to modern missions. While money alone can’t convert a single soul, missionaries are sent and sustained only by the consistent, sacrificial, financial commitment of God’s people. Lack of funds has a detrimental effect upon those who are called to take the Gospel to the world. It can significantly delay the departure of new missionaries. Everyone with a heart for missions is asking, “How can we better finance missions so that we can send and equip all whom God calls?” Bible Baptist uses "Faith Promise Missions" to support over 50 missionaries and several outreach organizations.

BBTI

Baptist Bible Translators Institute

Below is a summary of what BBTI does but to find out more please click this link: https://baptisttranslators.com/

BBTI offers a nine-month training program, starting in August and continuing until the following May. It is our desire that you would benefit from the same missionary training that we have found to be effective in other's ministries. It would save you many heartaches and make your missionary career much more fruitful and enjoyable.

The ministry of BBTI in Bowie, Texas was commissioned to provide a missionary training program for independent, fundamental, Baptist missionaries. We carry on this ministry with the help of independent Baptist churches that support this work each month. To learn more information about the school, watch their video presentation.

BBTI prepares missionaries for working in any cultural situation, whether in a foreign city like Paris, France, or a jungle situation among a pygmy tribal group in Zaire, Africa.

The basic ministry of BBTI is to train missionaries in linguistics. This prepares them to hear any sound made by the human voice. It enables them to say that sound just like a native speaker and symbolize that sound with a symbol taken from a phonetic alphabet.

Their teaching has allowed missionaries to adapt to their culture as well as create written languages for people groups with no witten language. Many missionaries that have gone through the training have been involved in translating the Bible to people with no Bibles.
